Singapore's Scoot Starts Service June 4

Singapore Airlines will launch new low-cost-carrier (LCC) Scoot on June 4 when it takes off on it's inaugural flight from Singapore to Sydney.  Scoot fare's will tend to run 40% less than typical "full service" carriers according to the airline.

Initially the airline will serve Sydney and The Gold Coast with Flights from Singapore.  Ultimately it will add routes to China.


 It will operate 4 Boeing 777 aircraft in a 2 class configuration (business and economy).   By the end of this year, WIFI will be available on all aircraft.
