US AIR: Earn Double Miles For Flights To & From Washington National (DCA)

US Airways is holding a special mile earning promo for any flight to and from Washington National (DCA).  The Promo applies to tickets booked between July 7 and August 5 and travel has to take place between July 7 and September 30.

One important condition to remember is that a connecting flight through DCA does not count towards this promo, nor does a same day return from DCA.  It appears that your travel has to begin or end in DCA and departure and arrival need to be on different days (not a good thing for mileage runners!!).

Also the bonus miles do not count towards preferred status.  However, this is still a great way to bulk up your account balances if your travels take you to and from Washington DC!
